I'm sorry they randomly break into song.

To start off, looking for a video wasn't extremely difficult, but wasn't all that easy, either. I searched for videos with many different relations to the book and even a few lines, but was not successful. Finally, I went to Youtube and searched for literally: Romeo and Juliet. There were many scenes from the actual movie but I decided to choose this video. I know that they mention Shakespeare and how alike Romeo and Juliet they are and that is not encouraged for this assignment, but I think they are similar for different reasons. First of all, I think that Jimmy and Mary Jane act exactly like them- pretty dumb. They are "bubbling with love" like Romeo and Juliet and act foolishly. Also, because they get married very quickly and it all seems pretty sudden. Finally, these two couples are alike because they are clueless about the ending. These people think they'll turn out really 'swell' but like Romeo and Juliet, they could be destined to stay apart from each other..

Romeo and Juliet photo !

Aahhh! I know this picture is heeawg and it doesn't fit, but this reminds me of a scene from Romeo and Juliet. The picture has a guy who reminds me of Romeo, and a girl with a funny hairdo that reminds me of Juliet- they are holding hands and they look like they're in love. This photo looks like the scene after Romeo confesses his love for Juliet, and after seeing she was looking for him, he comes over to her balcony, (or in this case fire escape) and they tell each other how much they're in love. Here's the URL address.... :]

ROMEO and JULIET: ACT TWO !

In Romeo and Juliet, act two, many shocking things have happened- and our class is not even finished with the entire act yet.. One of the most interesting parts of this act, to me, was when Romeo and Juliet decide to get married. In this act, Romeo stays behind when Benvolio and Mercutio leave the Capulet, their enemy's, party. His friend and cousin assume Romeo has gone home, and leave him not knowing that he's still there looking for his new love, Juliet. He searches and circles around the Capulet house looking for Juliet's room so he can see her again. Not knowingly, he confesses his love for Juliet while she's nearby and she overhears him. So they meet again, and Juliet goes from, "oh, this is wrong" to "oh, let's get married tomorrow" in a matter of minutes.
I chose this part of the act because it was so sudden and stood out in my mind after reading through four scenes. I found it interesting how deep Romeo fell in love with Juliet so soon. I don't really know if love at first sight is real, but it sounds like that's what happened between them. If I were in a situation like this, I probably wouldn't marry the guy quite so quickly. It would also make me really upset that our families hated each other for some feud that started 38,764,975,092 years ago. Have I ever had an experience like this before in my life? No. Well... not really. I may have met somebody and thought they were cool, but I have never been almost engaged, and my family doesn't hate any other family... that I know of. I think that this part of the story has gotten really entertaining and I am excited to keep reading. :]

Characters in Romeo and Juliet.

In Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare, each character has a very unique personality. Especially Romeo Montague. He is probably the most dramatic character I have ever read about. Romeo seems like a nice guy but really confused and extremely depressed and passionate. If he went to my school, he seems like he may be really quiet and would not be very social. In my mind, (especially after seeing clips from the movie we've been watching in class) he has brown hair, would be slightly gorgeous, but would look like an average fourteen year old. Romeo sounds like he would be a nice person, but I probably wouldn't know much about him because he would be so quiet.
Trying to identify a person I know is kind of hard, but I have a friend who acts somewhat like Romeo. My friend is sort of obsessed, like Romeo, about love and is really stupid when it comes to that subject. She can not figure out if the guy she likes feels the same way and bugs me to give her advice about it ! My friend has never liked anybody this much before and is very confused, like Romeo who also seems really inexperienced. So they are alike by the way they act toward that subject, otherwise my friend and Romeo do not have the same personality considering she is very loud and outgoing and he is very quiet and sad...

Yah!
